Recognizing a BFB

Interested businesses who meet the minimum qualifications are recognized with the placement of our BFB logo on their business. The logo allows cyclists to recognize business that cater to them in one way or another. Businesses are also placed on the Bicycle Friendly Cyclist Map so cyclists planning their rides can identify places to stop to catch a breath, shop, dine, or grab a drink of water.

If you're an interested business wishing to be recognized as a Bike Friendly Business, please mail the following application.

Bicycle Friendly Cyclist Map

As part of the program, recognized businesses are also placed on the Bicycle Friendly Business Map as a way for cyclists to know which businesses offer amenities to them. The map displays the bicycle facilities within Hidalgo County, such as bicycle lanes and routes. Additionally, roadways with shoulders are illustrated along with the speed limits of main thoroughfares. The map is designed as a tool for planning routes during a cyclist's ride and is provided for FREE
